Project Principle 2: Keep It Easy

Many of you have a tendency to make things complicated.

Sometimes you were taught a complicated way to do something and you stick with it. Sometimes it feels like the simple way is somehow cheating? And sometimes you fly by the seat of your pants,  creating lots of complication as you try to hold things together without a strategy.

Whatever the reason, you’re making work for yourself.

At The House Shuffle, we’re secretly lazy.

We want things to be as easy as possible, but also super nice. In our projects, you decide on the desired outcome first. Then we scheme our way towards the method that achieves that outcome with the least amount of work. When we plan to Keep It Easy, you can keep things up.

You have more consequential things to do than trifling with housework. By optimizing for efficiency, maintaining your practical, comfortable home doesn’t need to suck up all your free time. You need that time to be lazy and to have fun!

Let’s not overcomplicate it!

For those of you who can never quite keep up with your house, Keeping It Easy is where it’s at. Freeing up your free time is why Keeping It Easy is The House Shuffle’s second project principle.
